Kundapur: Two youth attacked by money lenders over old rivalry

Kundapur, Jun 1: A group of four miscreants brutally attacked two youth in broad daylight here at Neralakatte on Thursday, May 31.

Santhosh Poojary and Akshatha Shetty were injured.

The fight erupted over money lending resulting in one Prasad Shetty injuring his hand. The old rivalry of Prasad Shetty with Akshath Shetty led to a fight on Thursday. Prasad along with his three friends Bhaskar Shetty, Karunakar Shetty and a third person, attacked Akshath. When his friend Santhosh tried to rescue Akshath he suffered injuries to his head.

 

The attackers, who are money lenders, managed to escape from the spot.

Meanwhile Santhosh Poojary and Akshath Shetty were shifted to government hospital in Kundapur.

A case has been registered at Kundapur rural police station.
