Mangaluru: St Raymond High School bids farewell to retiring teachers

Mangaluru, June 1: A farewell programme for two retiring high school teachers was held on May 31 at St Raymond's High School, Vamanjoor.

The teachers were, Sr Tressian who retired after 23 years of service as art and craft teacher and Kannada language educator Ramaraya Shanbhog A (Ram Ellangala) who retired after 30 years of service.

Bethany Educational Institute, Mangaluru zonal administrator Sr Mariola chaired the programme and wished them a peaceful and healthy retired life coupled with the blessings of the Almighty.

Vice president of Parent Teacher Association, Margaret D'Souza along with the members of the association honored the teachers. On behalf of the teachers, physical education teacher Donald Lobo and Ancilla D'Souza on behalf of the students along with Tamshira shared their feelings and conveyed their best wishes.

The retiring teachers shared their experiences on education, recalled everybody and offered their thanks.

Sr Roshni, school headmistress welcomed the gathering while Sr Jaya expressed her gratitude. Teacher Vincent Menezes compered the programme.
