Bengaluru: Arup Chatterjee takes over as director engineering, R & D at HAL

Bengaluru, Jun 2: Arup Chatterjee has taken over as director (engineering and R & D) of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited in the city on Friday.

Prior to his present post, he headed HAL’s Aircraft Research and Development Centre (ARDC) as general manager.

Born in 1962, he joined HAL in 1982. He holds BTech in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University, MTech in Aircraft Production Engineering from IIT, Chennai and MBA from IGNOU.

Chatterjee served in HAL’s Korwa, Kanpur, Koraput divisions and corporate office acquiring expertise in various segments of air frame manufacturing, MRO of engines, planning of avionics required for Russian and western origin aircraft platforms.
