Moodbidri, June 4: After two motor bikes got involved with head-on collision near Mahaveer College here on Sunday June 3, one of the bike riders lost his life. The deceased is Prashanth Fernandes (26) from Naynadu in Bantwal taluk.
Praveen was riding his two-wheeler from Venoor towards Moodbidri when a motor bike which came at high speed from the direction of Moodbidri suddenly turned towards Venugopal Colony on the right end of Mahaveer College. The accident happened because of this sudden, unexpected turn, it is learnt.
Paveen Prashanth Fernandes was thrown to the road due to the impact of this accident. He had sustained severe injuries and was immediately taken to a private hospital in the town. The doctors who checked him found that he had already died.
Moodbidri police visited the spot, gathered details and registered a case.
