Tumkur: Car tyre burst - three persons killed on spot, two critical

Tumkur, Jun 5: After the front tyre of a moving car suddenly burst, three persons lost their lives. The accident happened on the main road at Tannenahalli in Koratagere taluk of the district late night on Sunday June 3.

The car went out of control of the driver after the tyre suddenly burst. The car then deviated from Koratagere - Bengaluru road and rammed into the bus shelter of K-Ship at Tannenahalli. Because of this impact, the skulls of Ranjith (25) from T Dasarahalli, Bengaluru, who was driving the car, and Sanjay Singh (20), who was seated in the front seat, got separated from their torsos.

Another passenger, Arbaz from Dasarahalli, who was also in the car, was seriously injured. He was admitted into NIMHANS Bengaluru for advanced treatment but his life could not be saved in spite of best efforts of the doctors.

The people in the car had gone to Madhugiri on Sunday night to attend birthday party of a friend there. When returning to Bengaluru at night, they had consumed liquor, it is learnt. It is presumed that the accident happened on account of driving at high speed. Two others, Ambareesh Naik and Vijayakumar, both of whom also sustained serious injuries, were admitted into the government hospital here where they are being treated. The conditions of both of them is stated to be critical.
