Kasargod: Body found in well at Mogral, Puttur identified

Kasargod, Jun 5: The body of a male found inside a public well at Mogralputtur Kunnil on June 3 has been identified to be that of an employee of Karnataka Electricity Board, Vittal.

Raichur electricity department assistant engineer S S Karthik (30) has been identified as the deceased. He was a resident of Tiptur.

A slip which contained the name, Kartik, Chitttoor, Karnataka, was found in the shirt pocket of the deceased. The person, who was from Raichur, had disappeared from office at Vittal in the past, duly leaving behind a letter stating that he could not work there. However, after sometime, he had reported for work at the same office.

The wrists of the person were found to have been bound by a wire. His motor bike bearing Karnataka registration number was found parked nearby. The dead body was sent to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital for postmortem. Kasargod station police said that the reason for death will be known only after receiving the postmortem report.
