Moodbidri: Illegal slaughterhouse raided, 1.38 ql beef seized

Moodbidri, Jun 8: The policemen of the town station here raided an illegal slaughterhouse under operation at Mundelu in Handelu, Todar village near here on Thursday June 7. They rescued two calves which had been found tethered for the purpose of making beef and 1.38 quintals of beef that was found packed there.

Based on information that an illegal slaughterhouse was being run in the house of Hassan Bava, a team led by police sub-inspector, Dejappa, working under the guidance of town police inspector, Vijaya Prasad, raided the spot on Thursday afternoon. Hassan Bava escaped at the time of the raid.

Muhammed Sameer (22), nephew of Hassan Bavaa, who was at the spot, was taken into custody and beef of two cows worth Rs 27,000 apart from weighing scale and stones, hatchet etc were seized by the police.

    Bajrangdal, VHP and some swamis are some agents of BJP. These agents ensure locals do not consume beef so BJP can make money in form of party donation from Hindu beef exporting companies.
    If BJP was serious about stopping slaughter cows they would have banned the export of beef in the guise of buffalo meat.
