Mangaluru, Jun 15: 'Community Development - Rural, Urban and Tribal Perspective', a book written by Laveena D’Mello, assistant professor, Srinivas College, Mangaluru was released at Infant Jesus Shrine on Thursday, June 14.

Releasing the book, Fr Wilfred Rodrigues, superior, St Joseph’s Monastery said, “Writing or releasing a book is not a big job these days. But writing research books is like an adventure. No one is interested to write these types of books. Being a professor and researcher, Laveena D’Mello has successfully completed this adventure.



“The book written by her 'Community Development -Rural, Urban and Tribal Perspective', will be helpful for researchers and researching students. She has put in a lot of efforts to write this book and spent many years to collect information on the subject. She visited the many areas, and met many people to acquire complete knowledge about community development. I congratulate Laveena for her new book and wish her all the best for her future endevours,” he said.

Laveena was felicitated by Fr Ligori Crasta and other dignitaries. Fr Josy Sidhakatte was present.
