Bengaluru: Rowdy sheeter butchered in broad daylight by gang of three

Bengaluru, Jun 22: In an incident which happened near Heaven Hotel on Old Madras Road within the limits of K R Pura police station limits here on Thursday June 21, a notorious rowdy sheeter was killed with lethal weapons by a three-men gang.

The deceased man was Manjunath alias Water Manja (30), resident of Priyanka Nagar in the city. Manjunath had arrived at a hotel in Bhattarahalli here for lunch on Thursday afternoon when three miscreants arrived there. All the three were armed with sharp weapons it is said. They chased and slaughtered Manjunath with machetes and longs. Manjunath, who received scores of hits with sharp weapons collapsed to his death on the spot, policemen said.

Police personnel of K R Pura station visited the spot and undertook investigation. They have gathered information that this incident was a result of pre-existing enmity. The police have launched a manhunt for the killers.

It is learnt that the police who checked footages of CCTVs around the area have collected some clippings.
