Bengaluru, Jun 25: Ahead of the commencement of the budget session of the JD(S)-Congress coalition government on July 2, the five-member committee constituted to draft the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) will finalise it on June 29.

Former Union Minister and Chairman of Congress manifesto Committee M. Veerappa Moily said the committee would hold its last meeting on Friday, June 29, and finalise its draft.

Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru on Monday, he said the CMP would be implemented during the next 5 year period.

The committee would submit the draft of the CMP to the coordination committee panel headed by former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for the approval.

The committee has been given 10 days’ time for drafting the CMP.

The first meeting of the committee held on Wednesday last decided to incorporate the waiver of farm loans borrowed from cooperative banks in its draft.
