Udupi, Jun 27: A motor bike rider was killed in front of a petrol bunk at Kaup near here on the evening of Monday June 25, after a bus hit his motor bike.
The deceased has been identified as Mallappa. Mallappa was riding from Kaup Marigudi toward the petrol pump when the bus knocked him down.
The bus was on its way to the city from Mangaluru. Mallappa suffered serious injuries and died whilst being taken to Manipal for treatment.
A case about this accident was registered at Kaup police station.
