Addressing the gathering, Bishop Aloysius said, “Before I received the invitation of this event, I was unaware of 'We Care and Share'. One of my friend gave me some details about this organisation. I was surprised hearing it. Since 10 years, the organisation is giving service without any publicity and expectations. We can see these types of organisations in the society rarely. Through this organisation, more than 50 youths have succeeded to get good jobs in Gulf countries. That means the organisation has brought a ray of hope in more than fifty families.
“Without helping nature, being humans is always incomplete. Helping and charity gives inner happiness. This inner happiness makes humans perfect. 'We Care and Share', which was started by five has more than hundred like-minded individuals in the organisation today. Their only intention is to help others, especially youths and students. There is no doubt that God will shower blessings on all its members for their kind heart,” he said.
Fr Faustine said, “The name, 'We Care and Share' itself gives an introduction about the organisation which was started ten years ago in Dubai. Caring and sharing is their main motive. They took care of job aspirants who reached the Gulf looking for employment. They helped them for food and accommodation. They are becoming Good Samaritans. With their savings, they are trying to educate poor students in India. They deserve a big salute from our society. It is my request that more and more generous people should join this organisation and help the core members to extend their charity.”
Walter Nandalike said, “Five years ago, I attended one of the events of ‘We Care and Share’ which was held in Dubai. Though I did not understand their work that day, after a query I came to know about their mission. It is one of the rarest organisations which is working in the society without any expectations, appreciation or publicity. It is all due to them that more than 50 youths are working in high positions in Gulf countries. Meanwhile, the members of the organisation are also concentrating on educating poor students in India. I know that none of the organisations’ members have own business. All are workers in various companies and from their salary, they help the needy. The work of ‘We Care and Share’ is a model for others. We are proud of them.”
Roy Castelino, James Mendonca and Michel D’Souza appreciated the organisation for their service and congratulated the members on the decennial celebration. During the event, on behalf of 'We care and Share', the dignitaries felicitated Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul. Cheques were also distributed to needy students.
After the stage programme, a musical event was held by Konkani music world’s renowned singers and composers such as Eric Ozario, Joyce Ozario, Melwyn Peris, Kevin Misquith , Venessa Saldanha and the young sensational such as Jason Lobo, Joyline Lobo, Oshin Theodore and Diyel D’Souza. Team of Nach Sobhann too enthralled the gathering.
