Mumbai: Young men's education society celebrates 73rd anniversary

Mumbai, Aug 27: Young men's education society run by Tulu Kannadigas here for the last seven and a half decade held its 73rd anniversary at Mysore Association auditorium, Matunga east on August 25. Ajanta Caterers and Oriental Hotels Private Limited director Jayarama B Shetty, chief guest of the occasion inaugurated the programme.

Education society president N P Suvarna chaired the event. Classic Hotels Private Limited director Suresh R Kanchan and 'Reservation' cinema producer Yakub Khader Gulvadi who were present as guests of honor distributed scholarships to the school children and wished them well.



Ganesh Sriyan, N H Bagwadi, Raju Sriyan, Dr Raviraj Suvarna Mira Road, Sadanand Anchan Thane, Omdas Kannangar, Sudhaker C Poojary, Karunaker Hejmady and others were present.

Prabha N Suvarna sang a prayer song. Vice president Anand A Shetty welcomed the gathering. Honorary chief secretary P N Shettigar and Chitrapu K M Kotian introduced the felicities and guests. Honorary treasurer Shekar N Suvarna read the list of scholarship receivers. Vasanth N Suvarna Dombivili compered the programme and thanked everyone. Kannada film 'Reservation', directed and acted by Nikhil Manju and Yakub Khader Gulvadi and which has received national award was screened as part of the cultural programme.
