Mumbai, Aug 28: Association of Kannada Kootas of America organization has scheduled its tenth Vishwa Akka conference in America. Kannada poet Gopal Trasi has been selected to present his poem in the conference.
The conference will be held under the aegis of north Texas Mallige Kannada Koota for three days from August 31 to September 2 at Sheraton conference hall, Dallas, USA. It will be chaired by poet Jayanth Kaikini.
“The Akka conference this year will have several specialities and several people from Kannada homeland taking part,” said Akka Samithi president Amarnath Gowda and Akka organization president Shivamoorthi Keelara.
Gopal Trasi is an active member of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha Maharashtra and a well-known sportsman. He hails from Uppinakudru and stays with his wife and sons at Kandivli Charkop.
