Let's make Modi govt realise its mistakes: Raj Thackeray's MNS joins Bharat Bandh

Mumbai, Sep 9(Zee News): The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), led by Raj Thackeray, has extended its support to the Bharat Bandh, called by the Congress party on Monday, September 10, over continuous rise in petrol and diesel prices.

Releasing a statement in this regard on Sunday, MNS chief Raj Thackeray said that the common man is in anguish as the prices of petrol and diesel have sky rocketed. “The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena extends its full support to the bandh and will actively participate in it,” said Thackeray.

Thackeray further said that though the fuel prices are linked to the global markets, the central and state governments have imposed heavy taxes on this. “The country’s policies cannot be based on the whims and fancies of one person,” said the MNS chief, taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi without naming him.

The statement by Raj Thackeray also made reference to the issue of demonetisation. It read, “The demonetisation step was a huge blunder and its repercussions plummeted our economy into a precarious state. To cover this up, heavy taxes are being imposed on fuel, as an effort to bring back the economic conditions to normalcy. Why is the common man being made to pay a price for the miscalculation on part of the Central government?”

“The ever increasing fuel prices is affecting all aspects of our lives. This very fact, needs to be taken into account by the common man and this is the reason, I am appealing to all the citizens of Maharashtra, to put aside their political and ideological differences and support this bandh. In the same spirit, I appeal to my Maharashtra sainiks, in its full force, to be a part of this bandh as well,” said Thackeray, adding that the “government sitting in Delhi must be made to realise its mistakes” with its mistake.

Several political parties such as the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Samajwadi Party (SP) and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) have declared that they would join the Bharat Bandh called by the Congress party. The Trinamool Congress has, however, refused to be a part of the bandh.

I think they have a technical problem for they are with the Govt both in state and center.
Yet they criticize Govt on many wrong policies and put it across to the people; they don't defend Govt in every wrong that they do.
If people still defend; what else can they or others do? Have to conclude that we deserve such rule!

During 2014, when PM Modi said 'Ab ki baar', the citizens of the nation eagerly waiting something is better going to happen.
In 2018 if repeat the same 'Ab ki baar', the citizens who voted for BJP will start worrying that tomorrow will another worst day.

This Bandh will not have any impact on BJP. Unless the opposition parties like Haryana 'Jat reservation' who targeted only BJP leaders assets.

The exorbitant fuel prices, I suspected was to salvage all the banks whose NPA's are also rising like the fule prices. I did not realise as Raj Thakeray has mentioned, this is also to mauke good the loss to the economy due to demonitisation.

Good More and More political parties are joining the Bharat Bandh so that the Modi Sarkar will be shaken out of its slumber if not arrogance.

Modi, Modi, Modi - in 2014, what we got in return.

    1. Rupee at life time low against dollar, while Modi promised otherway.
    2. Petrol n diesel at life time high, when Modi promised other way.
    3. Cost of living getting higher and higher, pushing middle class to below poverty line. As against Modi promised.
    4. Corruption and crime unchecked, corrupt and criminals getting Scot-free, as against Modi promised.
    5. Terrorism at its peak, where situation at J n K getting out of hand.
    6. Communal Harmony at it lowest, where people distrust their own neighbors who may have lived together for decades.
    7. Jobless youth are turning desperate, their only weapon these days putting a wrist saffron hand band and spying on everyone.

These are not illusions, they are facts. However, there is a very strong force that wants these facts remain hidden to safe-guard the Modi led BJP govt from its wrong doing.

Bundh will be observed only in Maharashtra, Bihar, Karntaka, Odisha and TN, that is hardly 1/5 of the country, I don't think PM will even say a word in response. He may delegate Patra or some jobless HMV to blame Rahul Gandhi somehow.

Good, some principled leaders are protesting against unprincipled politics!
I don't say the crude oil prices are not affected!
But why did the very same people who are Ministers now, protested like mad for crude oil and Gas prices during previous UPA regime?
When they stoutly protested against, corruption, border clash etc, why are they faring even worst then the previous UPA regime?
They protest against weakening rupee against dollar, when it was around Rs.58/$? what they did to strengthen the rupee? It's fallen to Rs.72/- ?
Why did they gave all false promises to the people; just to fool the public and form Govt? Unable but Why so much greed?
Politics should always be fought with principles; now they are exposed, answerable to public!
