Bengaluru, Sep 12: A cloth merchant killed a woman who had live-in relationship with him, before committing suicide. The incident happened within the limits of Vivek Nagar police station here. However, this shocking incident came into the open with delay.

Raveendran, living in Vannarpet in Vivek Nagar, killed a lady named Uma before killing himself.

Raveendran, who ran a cloth store in Vivek Nagar, also worked as tailor specializing in military uniforms. He was living with Uma from Kodagu since 1999 at Vannarpet.

Since the last two to three days, Raveendran had not opened his cloth store. The locals grew suspicious and informed the police. The police who opened the shop found two mortal remains, one of Raveendran and the other, of Uma.

It is said that Raveendran had property at Domlur worth crores of rupees. At the same time, he had borrowed heavily from banks. Reportedly, Raveendran was under stress as the banks had filed suit in courts for recovery of dues. The police believe that he killed Uma before ending his own life because of this frustration.
