Bengaluru: Two killed as school bus hits motor bike

Bengaluru, Sep 16: Two persons travelling by a motor bike were killed on the spot after a school bus hit their vehicle. The accident happened on Saturday September 15 morning opposite Srirama Apartment near Bidaraguppe on Attibele - Sarjapur Road.

A private school bus and a motor bike bearing Tamil Nadu registration number were involved in this accident. Immediately after the vehicles collided with each other, fire was ignited and the bike was completely burnt down. In this process, both the bike-borne persons died.

A general opinion which emerged at the spot of accident was that the accident happened as the school bus was moving a high speed. The driver of the bus fled immediately after the accident, locals said. Attibele police visited the spot, registered a case, and took further steps.

There has been demand since some time from the general public about school buses being driven by drunk drivers in Anekal town and taluk at high speed. They have urged the school managements and police to take steps to see that these drivers follow norms of safe driving.
