Bengaluru: CM initiates major surgery to administration through spate of transfers

Bengaluru, Sep 16: The transfer of officials which had been on a very small scale since some days, gained momentum on Saturday September 15 with the chief minister transferring 20 police officers and 30 KAS officers. It may be recalled that on Friday, chief minister (CM), Kumaraswamy, had said that he would crack the whip against officials who own inertia under the belief that the current government would crash.

A few of the important officials in strategic positions who have been transferred are Alok Mohan as additional director general of police railways here, P S Sandhu as commissioner, traffic road safety, P Raveendranath, ADGP traffic cell here, Sanjay Sahai as ADGP of computer wing, P S Harsha as DIG prisons, and Dr Alikhan S Murthy as ADGP of Lokayukta.

Along with them, 12 senior grade KAS officers and 18 junior grade KAS officers have been transferred.
