Swimmers Diganth, Siya from Puttur win medals at 1st BISC swimming competition

Puttur, Sep 17: Swimmers Diganth VS and Siya Savjani from Puttur won medals in the 1st BISC swimming competition 2018/19 held at Vijaya Nagar Aquatic centre, R PC layout, Bengaluru on September 15.

The state level inter club swimming competition was conducted by Bangalore Inter Club Swimming Committee.

Diganth VS won 2 gold medals in 50 backstrokes (clocking 38.37) and 100 freestyle (1.14.64). He is a class 5 student at Bethany Higher Primary School, Puttur. He is the son of Vishwanath (SCDC Bank and Veena Vishwanath (CAMPCO, Puttur).

Siya Savjani won a bronze medal in 50 metres freestyle clocking 36.84. Siya is a class 3 student of Bethany Higher Primary school, Puttur. She is the daughter of Bhavin Savjani and Sahana Savjani.

Diganth and Siya are members of Puttur Aquatic Club, Puttur. They are being trained by coaches Partha Varanashi , Niroop GR and Rohith at St Aloysious swimming pool, Mangaluru and at Dr Shivarama Karantha Balawana Swimming Pool, Puttur.
