Kundapur, Sep 18: An ardent follower of Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated PM's 68th birthday in a unique way by providing Pulav, tea and cake free of cost for more than 1000 people on Monday, September 17.
Laxman Kunder, a resident of Kasanagundu and owner of 'Sri Sannidhi' canteen and die-hard fan of the PM, celebrates the birthday of Modi in this manner for the past four years. This year too he provided free snacks and tea to people till afternoon on Monday.
Laxman's canteen is located near Kota police station. He saves Rs 50 every day throughout the year for this purpose. Laxman says that this is his way of helping others on the birthday of a person whom he revers a lot. He placed a flex banner of Narendra Modi and wrote his intention of providing free food. People thronged in large numbers and relished the delicacies. Raghavendra Kanchan, member of Zilla Panchayat also had this free offer and lauded Laxman for his noble deed.
Apart from expressing his love towards Modi, Laxman says he wants the people to know the importance of having a person like Modi as the prime minister. According to Laxman, Modi's vision is far-sighted and his policies are better than any other political leaders of the country. Laxman plans to celebrate the birthday of Modi for many more years to come.
