Mangaluru, Sep 19: The 18th inter-parish dance competition was organized on Sunday September 16 for the parishioners of the diocese by Konkani Natak Sabha® at Don Bosco Hall here.
The competition was held in three categories namely below 10 years, 10 to 15 years and above 15 years in ladies duet, gents duet, mixed group and married couples.
77 participants in 27 entries from eight parishes took part in the competition.
In the below-15 year’s category, Cordel parish bagged the first place while Angelore parish stood second and Cascia third.
In the above-15 years category Angelore bagged the first place, Cordel parish second and Cascia third.
Elton Mascarenhas, Shanthi Priya Lasrado and Dikson Machado were the judges.
Vice president Sunil Menezes welcomed the gathering and announced the results. Joint secretary Jossy Thedore introduced the judges. General secretary Judith D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks. Raymond D’Cunha compered the programme. Convenor Gretta Rebello among others were present.
