Bengaluru, Sep 19: The fact that Karnataka chief minister (CM), H D Kumaraswamy, held personal discussions with union home minister, Rajnath Singh, for about half an hour on Tuesday September 18, gave rise to lot of curiosity among political analysts.

After the southern zone council meeting, Singh and Kumaraswamy were closeted in the room of the law secretary in the first floor of Vidhana Soudha. It is said that the discussions hovered around security issues, demand for special package for reconstruction of Kodagu district and other matters. Reportedly, the leaders also exchanged information about the current political developments in the state.

Speaking to media persons at the meeting of southern states held in Vidhana Soudha, Rajnath Singh said that it would be grossly wrong to accuse enforcement directorate of causing problems to the people. He said that everyone goes on doing his or her work. He dismissed the notion that enforcement directorate is being misused for political purposes.
