Bengaluru, Sep 21: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Thursday warned BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa not to cross the lines of decency while speaking and the government was in his hands to do whatever he could.
After visiting D K Shiva Kumar who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital, a visibly angry Kumaraswamy said, "We know what Supreme Court has told about Shivarama Karanth Layout denotification case. If you dig too much, then we too have many things at our disposal. Government is in our hands. Don’t I have the authority to do whatever I can?”
“I caution him (Yeddyurappa) to be careful. You are sitting in a glass house. Exercise restraint while talking. Seriousness is expected from a person of your age. This is my sane advice.” he added.
Kumaraswamy also countered Yeddyurappa's statement over percentage wise commission (bribe) system and called the latter “the father of percentage wise commission (bribe) system,”
During his visit to the hospital, Kumaraswamy assured Shivakumar the support from the state government and people ofthe state during the tough time the latter is facing. He also discussed about alleged 'Operation Lotus' carried out by the BJP.
They also reportedly spoke to some of the party MLAs from the hospital over the phone in this regard.
BJP reacts
Meanwhile, condemning the statement of the chief minister who had said he would be forced to call the people to revolt against the BJP for allegedly trying to destabilize his government, the BJP said it will hold a state-wide protest on Friday. The BJP also urged the Governor to intervene in the matter.
