Bengaluru, Sep 23: Highground police in the city have arrested Sandalwood actor Duniya Vijay on the late night of Saturday, September 22 on the accusation of kidnap and assault. Once again the arrogant nature of Duniya Vijay has come into light.

The accusation is being heard that the actor has threatened the retired soldier Venkatesh and abused him with filthy language. It is learnt that Kiran, a close relative of Duniya Vijay had taken an amount of Rs four lac from Venkatesh and was harassing Venkatesh without returning the money. Venkatesh had approached Duniya Vijay to apprise him of the same. Duniya Vijay tried to kick the retired soldier when he went to him to complain about Kiran, his relative of not returning his money. In addition, it is alleged that Duniya Vijay also threated Venkatesh with murder if he approaches him once again with this issue.

Speaking to media, Venkatesh, the retired soldier, said, "A close relative of Duniya Vijay had taken an amount of Rs 4,30,000 from me. He did not return the same even after six months. When I approached Kiran, a relative of Duniya Vijay, he told me that he has spoken about this matter with Vijay and will return your money.

"I waited for one month. But did not get my money. One day I went to the gym and spoke to Duniya Vijay. He attacked me suddenly without any provocation and also threatened to kill me. In addition, he also said that he will attack my son and threatened me not to go to this relative's house. So I did not ask the money out of fear and did not complain to the police also.

"Today police have arrested Duniya Vijay. I do not have any connection with him. He has not taken money from me. He attacked me when I approached him to ask for the money, which his relative has bought from me. So I will get justice. Seeing the arrogance of Duniya Vijay I have decided to register complaint again on him," he said.
