Mangaluru: Legal Awareness Programme organized at Bolar Community

Mangaluru, Dec 17: Social Work Department, Srinivas University in association with Police Department and Coastal Security Force on December 16 organized Legal Awareness Programme' at Bolar Community here.

The resource person for the programme Manjula, PSI, South Police Station Mangaluru gave information about different types of crimes happening in the city, causes and prevention methods.

Tharanath (ASI), Coastal Security Force gave information about coastal offences and the role of fisher folk in preventing such offences.

R O Biradar, Boat Captain, Coastal Security Force, gave information about building interface with fishing community and coastal security force.



Chandrashekar, President of Rotary Club, Mangaluru instructed parents to monitor their ward closely to save them from drug related problems.

The programme was presided over by Gangesh Bolar, Social Activist, Bolar and Pradeep MD faculty, Social Work department was the convenor of the programme.

Master of ceremony was Swarnakeerthy Shenoy, while Sunil Kumar welcomed the gathering. Vote of thanks was performed by Swathi the students of Social Work course.

People of Bolar community participated in the programme.
