Mangaluru: People stop fish laden lorry shedding waste water, handover driver to police

Mangaluru, Dec 19: Anguished people on Wednesday, December 19 stopped a fish laden lorry that was shedding stinking waste water on the road making the road slippery and causing two wheeler riding dangerous.

The incident took place at Mannagudda junction. The lorry loaded with fish from Mangaluru fisheries port was on its way to Udupi shedding oily water from it all along the road. A couple of two- wheeler riders lost control and met with accident because of slippery road.

Angry local people chased the lorry, stopped it at Mannagudda junction, took the lorry driver to task and handed him over to Barke police station.
