Kundapur: Hotellier having business in Hassan district dies in accident

Kundapur, Dec 21: A hotellier from lthe taluk died after a car in which he was seated hit a roadside tree near Belur, Hassan district. Three others sustained serious injuries in this accident.

Raju (42) from here was operating a hotel in Banavara, Hassan district. His friends, Siddesh, Darshan and Shekhar, who were also in the car, got injured seriously.

Raju had visited Mangaluru from Banavara on Wednesday to visit a friend who is unwell there. During the return journey, at around 2 am on Thursday December 20, the car hit a roadside tree near Tagare on state highway between Belur and Sakleshpur. Due to the impact of the accident, Raju died on the spot.

Among Raju's friends, both Siddesh and Darshan suffered fractures in their legs. All the three injured were admitted into Hassan district hospital for advanced care. Belur police inspector, Lokesh, sub-inspector,Jagadish, and othrs visited the spot and registered case. Raju is survived by wife and two sons.
