Mangaluru, Dec 24: First-of-its-kind toy and book exchange programme was held on December 23 at Kinnigoli Church by Mangalore Properties in Association with ICYM Kinnigoli. 

This programme was held in order to foster the spirit of sharing and giving during the Christmas season among children. 

More than 100 children participated by giving their old unused toys and books. Those who could not afford toys were given toys by Mangalore Properties. 

Mangalore Properties proprietor Roger Pinto said, “This is a unique way to help children learn to share their toys with the needy and it helps them to be more sharing and caring in this busy and gadget filled world where most of us don't have time to even speak even to our neighbours.” 

Each child got an opportunity to pick his own toy within one minute and were assisted by ICYM members of Kinnigoli under the leadership of ICYM president Preetham. 

All the toys which were short were donated by Mangalore Properties and were further distributed to orphanage kids of Preethi Sadan at Kateel. 

All the kids had their photograph clicked with Santa Claus and brought a lot of happiness and smiles to not only those who received but more to those who gave.
