Mangaluru: Guardian Angel Church Angelore holds Christmas Sauhardha Sambrama

Mangaluru, Dec 24: 'Christmas Sauhardha Sambrama 2018’ on December 23 took place at the residence of Jacob Moras. Members of Gabriel III ward, of Guardian Angel Church Angelore organized this celebration. People of different religions from all over the locality attended the programme.

Assistant parish priest Denzil Lobo presided over the function.

MLA of Mangaluru south Vedavyasa Kamath was the guest of honour. The corporator of the area Praveen Chandra Alva, K Devendra, managing trustee of Mahalingeshwara temple, Kankanady, Sr Celine Mendonca, Superior of Capitanio Convent, Roshan Patrao and Dora Rodrigues, vice president and secretary of Parish Pastoral Council and Jyothi Dias were present.



Vedavyas in his address called on the assembled to break the walls that divide society. J R Lobo said that the real meaning of Christmas is to meet the needs of the poor and the downtrodden. Fr Denzil Lobo in his address said that we must look for Jesus among the brethren around us.

A sumptuous fellowship meal was followed by a meaningful Christmas skit, dance and Christmas carols.

Shanthi Moras compered the programme. The ward leader Ron Michael Vas proposed the vote of thanks.

    LIVE AND LET OTHERS LIVE IS THE Christmas theme. It is good to hear Vedavyas in his address calling on the assembly to break the walls that divide society. J R Lobo adequately explained that the real meaning of Christmas is to meet the needs of the poor and the downtrodden. Fr Denzil Lobo in his address rightly explained that we should look for Jesus among the people around us.

    Of course Mr. Roshan Patrao as V.P of the Parish has indeed played his role very well but silently
