Man City's Guardiola warned over conduct in Liverpool match

London, Jan 5 (IANS): England's Football Association formally has warned Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola over his conduct during the club's 2-1 win over Liverpool.

At one point during Thursday's contest, the Spaniard threw his scarf to the ground and shouted at fourth official Martin Atkinson.

This is Guardiola's first official warning of the season. An accumulation of four warnings usually leads to a suspension, reports Efe news.

The victory at the Etihad lifted defending champions City to second in the Premier League, 4 points behind leaders Liverpool.
