Liverpool sell Solanke to Bournemouth

London, Jan 5 (IANS): Liverpool has agreed to send forward Dominic Solanke to Bournemouth, the two Premier League clubs has announced.

Though neither club revealed any details, media outlets said that Bournemouth paid 19 million pounds ($24.18 million) for the Englishman.

The 21-year-old Solanke made his professional debut in 2014 at Chelsea - where he came up through the youth squads - and joined Liverpool in 2017 on a free transfer, reports Efe news.

After making 27 first-team appearances last season, Solanke's only action this season has been with the reserve team and he asked management to be moved during the winter transfer window.

"My main target is to score goals and, being a striker, hopefully I can get a few for the team and help the team get wins. Playing in the Premier League, every game is tough and together we can try to do as well as we can," Solanke said in comments posted on the Bournemouth website.

Bournemouth are currently 12th in the Premier League with 27 points from 21 matches. Liverpool are top with 54 points.
