Mangalore: Kinnigoly Returns to Normalcy

Mangalore, Jan 14: Kinnigoly village and its surroundings that experienced heightened tension following the murder of Mohan Ranya (38) on the night of Sunday January 11 by unidentified assailants remained calm on Tuesday January 13. Total normalcy was restored in the region that saw hectic activities on Monday by way of protests and visit of political leaders.

The Hindu organizations had threatened to organize district bandh if the policemen fail to arrest the murderers within 48 hours. The police sources said that eight people have been taken into custody in connection with the murder, for interrogation.

Additional forces were placed at the services of Mulky police station under which jurisdiction Kinnigoly falls, for handling unexpected developments if any.
