Mangalore, Jan 13: Lani Mariza Pinto, advocate and notary, functioning at 8, ground floor, City Corporation Complex, Lalbagh in the city, has been appointed as the Christian Marriage Registrar for Dakshina Kannada district by the government of Karnataka.



Born in Kinnigoly, Pinto had her prilimary and highschool education in the Little Flower Girls High School Kinnigoly. She finished her PU education from Pompei Junior College and graduated in law from the SDM Law College in the city in 1993.

She is a member of Lions Club of Valencia and presently resides with her husband Francis John Pinto and daughters Freya and Riya in Bejai here.

    Congratulations to Ms. Pinto on being appointed as the christian marriage registrar. We all Kinnigolians are proud of her achievement more so because I also happen to be a Pompeii PU college alumni (1980 pass out). We are sure she will carry out this challenge with due dilligence and make us all proud.
