Beltangady, Jan 22:  A prize distribution function relating to the state-level post card painting contest and other competitions on moral value based books will be held at the Mahotsava auditorium in Dharmastala on Tuesday January 27.

The event is being jointly organized by Shantivana Trust of Dharmastala and the department of public instruction.
 
Renowned leg spinner cricketer Anil Kumble will take part in the prize distribution function and will be felicitated for his contribution to the field of sports, informed B Sitaram Tolpadittaya, secretary, Shantivana Trust, speaking at a press conference held in Dharmastala on Tuesday January 20.

The ‘Anche-Kuncha’ post card painting contest was conducted on the topic 'My Dream' and the trust has received over 11,000 entries. The competition was held for primary, high School, College and the general public, in separate categories. The first three prizes will be  given separately under all these categories. Apart from them, 25 special consolation prizes will be awarded on the occasion, he informed.

Dharmastala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade will preside over the function.

Dr Heggade's wife Hemavati Heggade, D Harshendra Kumar, K Anand, deputy director of the department of public instruction, Udupi district and Chamegowda, deputy director, department of Public Instructions, Dakshina Kannada district, will take part in the function, he explained..

M S Nagraj Rao and I Shashikant Jain, Yoga director, were present at the press conference.
