Kundapur, Feb 16: “The murders that are taking place at the Indian border are serious. Killing 42 soldiers instantly in bomb blast is condemnable. We are heartbroken. We will speak though we cannot,” said Ramakrishna Herle at a programme held here on Thursday to condemn the killing of 42 CRPF soldiers and pay homage to them.

“Several attacks have taken place on Indian soldiers during the last five years. We had conducted surgical strike after Uri attacks and assumed that the terrorists have become quiet after that, but the attack on Thursday was horrible. We have to maintain peace and harmony in the country if we have to threaten terrorists outside the country."

Vadiraj said that India will have to give suitable answer to Pakistan. “Indian army has been given full freedom. Therefore, our army will teach such a lesson to Pakistan that it will not get an opportunity to learn in the future.”

Rajesh Kaveri, B Kishore, Ganesh Mendon, Kishore Ballal and members of various organizations were present.

Leaders of different organizations gathered at Shastri circle on Friday evening after many years across party lines. More than 500 people holding lit candles walked in line silently to the main road and to Shastri circle. They gathered at Shastri circle to offer silent prayer and homage
