During a visit of Mother Theresa, Mr. Deve Gowda had promised land which was to be utilised for the good work done by their order. To date it has not materialized. The same will be the case with this one acre of land that has been promised. Politicians are famous for their convenient memory loss. This is just another winning-over-voters stunt.

Are we forgetting the real issue? Can an acre of land compensate for what is happening all over our country?

Mr Kuldeep Kamath, How would Hindus react if Catholics attacked Hindu temples? Would you counsel Hindus to forget the past and live in the present? Would you ask Hindus to give up false pride and be humble? It is deeply offensive to ask Indian Christians to keep silent on an attack on their churches.

I will be ashamed as a catholic, if the catholic church accepts one acre land from the government.I think we catholics are doing pretty well and can generate enough money to buy that one acre. As someone said the govt. has no right to distribute land from tax payers money to religious groups.

My personal view is, that the, leaders of the catholic church in India, should consult the catholics under their area, prior to accepting any fixed assets or cash from political parties. The catholic community has enough land of its own, and there are always donars when in need, so why put ourselves down by accepting gifts, which we dont need.

Who has given authority to Govt to lend land on religion basis?. Today catholic community, tomorrow some other community, next some other. Govt Money is not Politicians'  Property to lend to anyone as they wish. Let them first repair our road for which we pay tax.

Mr. Kuldeedp......you are so innocent! don't you see next election is right at the corner? I'm sure, people who think in your lines might again vote for BJP. Pls don't fall in the trap.....it's all eye wash. BJP and associates want pubs in the state but they don't want pub culture! They have no problems with the Christian schools, hospitals in the state but they have a problem with the churches and preists. They are dead against with the western culture but their children must study in USA..how you take on this double standard/hypocracy.

What a beautiful celebration. Kudos to whoever arranged such a gathering. How nice to see state and church leaders coming together on one platform. Let us learn from our heritage to live in the present. Build strong bonds with the majority community of positive outlook. Give up false pride and put on humility and be real Indians. Smile.
