Dubai, Mar 11: The third edition of the region’s biggest and most comprehensive annual awards for the healthcare sector, the Annual Health Awards 2019 has received an unprecedentedlyhigh number of nominations fromaround 600 professionals and organizations in the UAE’s healthcare sector. Scheduled to be held at The Grand Hyatt - Dubai, on March 18, this year’s awards will honor healthcare trendsetters and outstanding leaders and professionals, in the presence of VVIP dignitaries and Arab,
Bollywood and Pakistani celebrities.
Health Awards 2019 will be attended corporate chieftains and prominent healthcare leaders from the region. His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami, chairman of the board and director-general of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) will give away the awards. Emirati internet star Khalid Al Ameri, former Miss World Manushi Chhillar, Bollywood celebrity SonuSood, social media influencers Salama Mohamed, Jumana Khan, Ajmal Khan and Farhana Bodi and Miss World Egypt 2018 Mony Helal will also be present at the function.
This year, the third edition of the awards will covers professionals ranging from doctors and nurses to healthcare executives and leaders. The awards include 13 titles in the corporate category, 11 titles in the individual and one award in the medical tourism category. The awards not only acknowledge exceptional healthcare facilities and department-wise excellence, but it also felicitates innovative brilliances, women trendsetters and CSR activities. The award categories also include recognitions for fitness centers, patient satisfaction, treating people of determination and research.
“The nominations this year have more than doubled compared to the previous edition, which shows the rapidly growing popularity of the Annual Health Awards, despite being only in its third year. We plan to include many more corporate and individual healthcare categories into its ambit, so that the awards are able to highlight achievements from an even wider spectrum of the healthcare sector,” said Humaid Al Qutami, chairman of the board and director-general of the Dubai Health Authority.
