Mangaluru, June 24: A 30-year-old youth from Kodikal, Mangaluru, died by suicide, with the incident coming to light on Tuesday, June 24.

The deceased has been identified as Nikhil Poojary (30), a resident of Kodikal.

According to sources, on the morning of June 23 (Monday), Nikhil had breakfast at home and went into his room. As he had the habit of taking naps in the afternoon, family members did not find his absence unusual and did not disturb him.

However, when he did not come out even by evening, his family grew concerned. Despite knocking on the door and calling out to him, there was no response. Around 8:15 pm, when they peeked through the door, they were shocked to discover that he had taken his own life.

Preliminary investigation suggests that financial distress may have driven Nikhil to suicide. It is alleged that he had borrowed money through various mobile loan apps and was unable to repay the debt.

A case has been registered at Urwa police station, and further investigation is underway.

Why should government ban such legally registered business activities as per guidelines of the Finance department of government? It is client's duty to understand the package and act accordingly. Lots ogf people mortgage their assets and avail loan and use funds for business and recur losses or downturn of business. One who has advanced loan claims interest and on default, we all know the next procedure. There is proverb " Stretch your legs to the size of the mattress" That should be in mind.

Borrowing for emmergency case is justifiable but borrowing to spend is not adisable. Once in debts loan amount grows and no escape unless ammount is settled. Must try to learn to adjust life within means of income . RIP
