Puttur, Apr 13: Assistant commissioner Harish Kumar issued warrants against eight government servants of the subdivision for their failure to attend a poll-related training programme, on Sunday April 12.

A training programme had been organized in the office of the assistant commissioner here about pre-poll work.  Out of those who were instructed to attend the session, eight had not come. The assistant commissioner issued police warrants against these employees for absenting from poll-related duties.

The assistant commissioner later said, the policemen have since brought the four absentee employees to his office while the other four were reportedly on outstation visits. Action will be taken against them as soon as they come back, he informed.
