Bantwal, Apr 13: Venkappa Poojary (31) from Myra in Kepu village near Vittal succeeded in ending his life after trying hard for the same and experimenting with three different ways.
Venkappa, an unmarried youth, was reportedly mentally challenged. On Saturday, he used a knife to stab himself in the abdomen region. As this did not succeed in taking away his life, he consumed insecticide. As the insecticide presumably was contaminated, he continued to live. Finally, Poojary jumped into a well.
The people, who saw him wallowing in the well, brought him out and took him to a hospital. However, he succumbed before he could be treated.
Vittal policemen have registered a case.
