Tel Aviv / Israel, Apr 14: The Legacy Hotel in Jerusalem here organized an Indian Food Festival recently, which was directed by Santhosh Victor Fernandes.

The programme was exclusively organized for foreign diplomats, international journalists and local residents with a purpose of taking them on a ‘flight of fancy’ to India and helping them to taste Indian culture, food, music and dance.

The programme included an Indian buffet, live Indian music and dance by Indian expatriate artistes in Israel.

The chefs, Santhosh Victor Fernandes and Charlotte Crasta served mouth watering Indian cuisine. The live band had Prakash Fernandes on keyboard, Roshan Crasta on lead guitar and Reginald Fernandes on bass guitar and Cloy Carvalho on drums.

Ramkumar and Preeti Monteiro enthralled the crowd by singing unforgettable old numbers. Charlotte Crasta and Seema Fernandes sang Hindi all time hit numbers Vande Mataram and Mehboob Mere at the occasion.

Alfred Fernandes compered the programme.

The guests, who had come to dine, were very fascinated with the food, music, dance and they enjoyed themselves immensely.

It was a great opportunity for the Indian expatriates here, to give the guests ‘a taste of India’ abroad.
