Bantwal, Apr 15: After a cooking gas cylinder suddenly went off in Kodaje Pantadka in Nerlakatte village in the taluk, a person died on the spot while two others suffered injuries.

Ummer (48) from Kodaje Pantadka died due to the blast that occurred at around 9 pm on Tuesday April 14. His wife Saramma and a small girl sustained minor injuries. Both of them are being treated in Vittal government hospital.
