Udupi: 'Photonics' Course to be Introduced in Manipal University

Udupi, Apr 15: A seminar on 'recent advances in photonics' was held at Dr T M A Pai Planetarium hall recently.

Speaking after inaugurating the event, Dr G K Prabhu, registrar, Manipal University, said that the university will introduce two innovative courses relating to 'photonics,' to encourage basic research in physics in the coming year.

The courses will inspire the students to conduct various studies and researches during the course of study and even in future, he added.

Dr Santosh Chidangil of the Atomic and Molecular physics department welcomed the gathering. Aachariya and Sujata compered the programme.

Dr Deepak Mathur, TIFR Institute and Dr S N Oak, Indore were present.
