Kundapur: Search for Missing Nityanand Shetty at Sea proves Futile - Efforts on

Kundapur, Apr 16: The search for Nityanand Shetty (49) who fell off the deck of Star Cruice Virgo ship while on a package tour on April 13 is still on.  Shetty from Noojady near here, had accidentally lost balance and fallen into the sea waters near the South Paulo Penang island of Malaysia.

His wife Kasturi, a swimmer herself, had also jumped into the sea immediately but she could do nothing to save him. She was rescued by the security staff, whose search for Shetty went in vain.

On Wednesday April 15 too, several boats were pressed into service to locate Shetty. Kasturi Shetty is exepcted to arrive at Bangalore on Thursday April 16, after which a concrete decision would be taken.

Nityanand shetty, general manager of Charmakki group of companies, was to come back and attend the annual festival of his native place next week.
