Mangalore, Apr 16: “Even though I do not belong to the political field, I am here to support the sincere efforts being made to ensure that Advani becomes our next Prime Minister. When Vajpayee was the Prime Minister, he led the country on the right path and I am sure, Advani will also do the same,” said Sandalwood actor Ramakrishna, speaking at a press conference held at the BJP office here on Wednesday April 15.

He said that being an artiste, he lacks the political skill or experience and that campaigning has not been his forte or profession.

“Though the country got independence over six decades ago, it has failed to reach the pinnacle of progress.  Ramakrishna Hegde and Jeevaraj Alva inspired me to step into politics,” he said.

“It feels great to share with you my happiness at being identified as one of the artistes who campaigned to make Vajpayee our prime Minster in the 90's. He is a great leader who made an effort take India to great heights. I feel happy to work for the party which contributed a great leader like him,” said Ramakrishna.

Later, Ramakrishna actively participated in the door-to-door campaigning along with leaders for the BJP.

BJP can try any number of film actors/actresses, sportsmen/women to campaign for them. Let BJP remember that the public would tolerate and put up with either comedy or tragedy for a couple of hours or even a little more and not for five long years! The writing is in the wall for BJP. Jaagore India... Vote against BJP and save india from the possible tragedy of losing its constitution....
