Udupi: Police Solve Kunjukatte Theft Case - Recover Ornaments

Udupi, Apr 17: The staff of the District Crime Intelligence Bureau (DCIB) arrested the thief who stole ornaments from the home of Kunjukatte Yadav Bhat, Perdoor about ten days ago, and recovered the stolen ornaments from him.

It is learnt, during patrolling, DCIB inspector B S Srinivasraj subjected Sukesh (22) from Kukkikatte in Kukkehally village, to intensive questioning after developing suspicion about his movements. Sukesh was standing near Ammunje bus stand in Uppoor village when the policemen found him and grew suspicious about him. Sukesh confessed to the theft and all the gold and silver ornaments stolen from Bhat's home were recovered from his home. The value of the assets so recovered is about Rs 3.25 lac.

It may recalled that the theft had occurred when old-aged couple Yadav Bhat and his wife were alone at their home.
