Out of this, an amount of Rs 8.26 crore to the nationalized banks and Rs 69.46 crore to the cooperative banks is released from the government and the loan is waived off. However, many farmers do not know this as most of the banks have not passed on this information to them. So every farmer should be sent a written intimation in this regard."

"The officials have to take pro-active action and see that all the beneficiaries receive pension from the state government, under various pension schemes, on time. The issues pertaining to pension are being resolved through ''Pension Adalat''. There should not be any coordination issue in this regard," added Ivan.

Ivan further said, "With regards to land allotment, 33,728 applications under 94C and 8,921 applications under 94CC are received in the district of Udupi. It is appreciable that 86% of these applications are already scrutinized. With regards to land conversion, the government has brought the online system to complete all the procedures."

Ivan sought information with regards to the encroachment of property belonging to Wakf. In reply to the query of Ivan, Wakf officer said, "Action is being taken to vacate the Wakf land that is encroached in the district. But in most of the encroachment cases the land is alienated in the name of private individuals. The relevant records are also not available. The state government has formed Taskforce under the presidentship of respective deputy commissioners." Ivan D'Souza instructed the concerned officer to get complete details of all the properties of Wakf that have been encroached and register a complaint in the office of the sub-divisional officer.

Speaking in the meeting, deputy commissioner Hephsiba Rani Korlapati said, "At present the district has only one subdivision and one more is needed in view of better administration." The DC also requested Ivan to release the required grant from the government to construct offices for the village accountants in the respective revenue village.

Hephsiba also appraised Ivan that in certain government lands that are allotted to the various developmental schemes some have got Deemed Forest issue and a proposal is already submitted to the state government to resolve the same.
