Udupi: Jayaprakash Hegde Seeks Action against Indulging in Anti-party Activities

Udupi, May 13: Congress Party candidate from Udupi-Chickmagalur Lok Sabha constituency K Jayaprakash Hegde has demanded for the initiation of stern action against those who indulge in anti-party activities. He was speaking at a function organized at the district Congress Bhawan here on Tuesday May 12, to thank the party workers who worked for the party candidate  in the recently held election.

"Those who leave the party should also resign from their memberships. I had even earlier, demanded for the removal of those who work against the interests of the party. Expelling them from the party even before they come up with their resignations, would have a telling impact. If no steps are taken, the feeling that every one can do whatever he or she wants to and that discipline need not be maintained, will spread," he warned.

"If disciplinary action is taken, sincere workers of the party get encouragement. The party should give additional responsibilities to party workers who strive for the party honestly. Unity is very important. When I fought as an independent candidate, I felt it was tough to fight the Congress, because of the unity among its leaders and workers. We should strive to get back that eminent position," he argued.

Hegde opined, in many places, Congress workers fared better than the BJP workers. The party has ably faced the Lok Sabha election with a preparation spanning over only a month. The party should gear itself now on, to face the upcoming gram panchayat and zilla panchayat elections, he felt.

District Congres president M A Gafoor, former MP Manorama Madhwaraj, entrepreneur Pramod Madhwaraj and Shekhar Madiwala too addressed the gathering.

Block Congress president Diwakar Kunder welcomed. Janardan Bhandarkar presented the programme. Hiriyadka Bhaskar Poojary proposed vote of thanks.

Dear Sir.... Personally i respect you and your credibility like any thing. But as i observed after you joining congress your old rivals i mean many anti social people who were in congress changed party. That is really good sign message is simple, whereever you go bad people can not survive there. Mean while it is unfortunate that your real followers who are anti congress are in confusion and they did not come with you.

I personnaly not interested in politics. But do everying on my personal level to educate the people towards the pros and cons of congress party. The party is just behind one family.
