Udupi: Visiting Police Stations hereafter, will be a Pleasant Experience!

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, May 14: On Wednesday May 13, district superintendent of police Pravin Madhukar Pawar informed, that he has instructed the police stations to follow a seven-point protocol whenever the people visit them to redress their grievances.

"We have implemented this on an experimental basis. We are yet to assess its success. The guidelines contain instructions like addressing the visitors respectably, offering water and seat, exchanging pleasantries by enquiring about their well-being, sorting out problems, etc. If the people find that this is not done, they can contact higher officials of the department," he informed. Pawar said, these steps are being taken to ensure that the people do not harbour any fear about the department and to help them to come closer to the policemen.

"We know it is difficult to expect the transformation in the behaviour, language etc., of the officials all of a sudden. We want to make a beginning and make every one to fall in line, in due course," he explained.

GOOD LUCK...It is possible and it will be a 360 deg change in police dept. Every citizen will feel proud of police force and they will start liking them. In Dubai police station, interacting with police is always a pleasant experience. They are always friendly in communication while interacting with people during vehicle accident. Our police force must bring drastic change in the system so that people start respecting them.BEST OF LUCK.
