Mangalore, May 15: With the aim of helping the talented students of the city to secure seats in the best engineering colleges of the country, namely IIT's and NIT's, Manipal Career Excellence (MCE) has opened a IIT-JEE training centre here.

Manipal Career Excellence (MCE) at Udupi has been imparting very good training and has shown excellent results. The students of the city will be trained in a similar manner; the duration of the training is two years comprising of around 1,400 hours. Experienced professors will guide the students in physics, chemistry and mathematics. Excellent study material will be provided; regular tests and examinations will be conducted to guide the students to prepare systematically for the IIT-JEE examinations. This training will help the students to answer AIEEE and CET as well as their II PUC exams with ease and without any other training.

Among the 79 students trained at MCE Udupi in the past two years, presently 10 students are studying in IIT's,  28 students at NIT's and two students at BITS Pilani. Other students have achieved good results in Karnataka CET.

We are proud that our student Uttam Bhat represented India in the International Astronomy Olympiad(IAO) held in Ukraine, in October 2007 and won the silver medal for India. Uttam also represented India in the International Astronomy & Astro-physics Olympiad(IAAO) held in Indonesia in August 2008, and has won the bronze medal for the country. Abhiman Acharya, another student, had also secured the first rank at the All India level in INMO (Indian National Mathematical Olympiad) in 2007.

The MCE training centre at Mangalore is located at Kuntikan Junction and is equipped with an excellent library, counselling facility as well as very good classrooms suitable for rigorous training.
